Bordeaux bottles are characterized by their straight sides and tall shoulders.
Burgundy bottles have gently sloped shoulders. They are sturdy bottles with a slightly wider girth.
Hock bottles are tall with gently sloping shoulders. The style originated in the Rhine Valley
Champagne bottles have thick glass, gently sloping shoulders and a deep punt to accomodate the high pressure inside the bottle.
